Wednesday July 14 at 6:00 pm: East Canyon - 41 miles
Thursday July 15
6:00 pm: Hardware Ranch Out and Back - 45 miles
or
5:45 pm (prompt!): LRC Time Trial at Blacksmith Fork. 10 miles. TT starts at 6:30.
Saturday July 15 at 6:00 am: Logan to Eden Out and Back - 100 miles.
4 gnarly climbs in one day! UDOT doesn't show the North Ogden Cyn Road under construction (as was the rumor), but if it is we'll loop around the Ogden bench area and still return via Highway 89. In Eden we'll stop at the Valley Market to refuel before heading back (bring some $).
Last week we went up the Clarkston divide and it was amazing both the ride and the view we need to add it into the rotation of rides that we do during the week. Had some 9% climb in it as well.
ReplyDeleteI should be at all these and doing the TT but I think I will want to leave earlier for no reason but to be there. Like at 5:45 if anyone is interested.

I plan to ride on Wednesday and Saturday. I am driving up Ogden Canyon Thursday night and coming back on Friday morning. I can check to see if there is any construction going on and report back.
ReplyDeleteI plan on wednesday and Saturday as well.
ReplyDeleteAlso if you are not aware the LRC (Logan Race Club) has there TNR (Tuesday Night Ride) Leaving from the Sports academy I believe at 6:00 PM. I mention this to those of you who have not rode with anyone else that before you race you need to ride with some other groups. The "C" group is going to drive to Riverdale and climb strawberry this Tuesday. Team RYGO has not been doing organized rides on Tuesday due to other conflicts but just letting everyone know there are other groups to help in whatever training you are doing. The LRC has a "A" "B" and "C" group and I believe Joyride has a Wed. night and Sunday group as well.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the updated Matt
Updated the Thursday TT departure time (from LAC).
ReplyDeleteI'll plan to ride Wednesday but that's the only one I can do this week.
ReplyDeleteI will be riding Wed. ~ Thurs. & Sat. Cheers.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the ride tonight. I might be there tomorrow night at the TT but I have a meeting at 8:00pm so I won't be able to stick around for long. I'm still a bit up in the air about the TT. Here's the problem with doing well on a TT you know you have to come out the next time and do better... that just plain stinks! Again I'm still up in the air about the whole thing.
ReplyDeleteI won't be there on Saturday for sure. I will be doing a 50 miler in the valley with the young men, Teacher's and Priests.
On Saturdays ride I will meet everyone coming out of Mt Sterling RD right at the base of Sardine. Wait for ya'll there.
ReplyDeleteCheers,
Craig
FYI, Never eat a piece of jalapeno peperoni pizza and coke at Sam's Club for lunch, then ride the LRC TT and not expect to have repercussions of hours on the toilet. That was a very bad idea.
ReplyDeleteI didn't get to see the North Ogden Divide road, but I spoke with someone that did. It was closed on Thursday for Chip and Seal. If it is open I don't want to ride down it.
ReplyDeleteI am chipnsealphobic and my doctor recommends avoiding it for my health.
ReplyDeleteJosh has to ride down south for a family party, so let's escort him as long as it makes sense, then route around until we're in the ~100 mile total range.
