There are 30 legs divided between 5 or 10 member teams (my math says 3 or 6 legs per racer). The legs vary in length and elevation.
Registration fee for the Saints to Sinners Bike Relay 2011 is $1,250.00 per 10 person team ($125 person), $750.00 per 5 person team ($150 per person). A portion of all proceeds will go toward researching a cure for ALS – Lou Gehrig’s Disease.

Personally I'd prefer a 5 racer team, so if we have more than 5 that want to race, let's try and get two 5 racer teams going. If we come up short on the second team, I'm sure we can recruit others in the local biking scene or place an ad.

ReplyDeleteI would be interested in the relay. I want to check out the site a bit too but count me in as a most likely yes.
ReplyDeleteIt looks pretty fun and challenging with the 5 man team. How soon before you would need a definate answer? I would like to wait a few months (spring time) before I give a hard yes, just to make sure I'll be available.
ReplyDeleteI am in, wife approved!
ReplyDeleteFrom what I can tell, they don't seem to have the frantic deadline like some other races. I'll keep my eye on the site, but let's see if we can solidify the team(s) by April 1.
ReplyDeleteRex,
ReplyDeleteThanks for contacting us. We are updating our website this week with all the new maps and info for the 2011 race. The deadline for regular registration is June 30th. We anticipate around 500 riders this year and have already had a number of teams register. Take a look at the race bible (which we will load sometime this week) and let me know if you have any questions. Once again, thanks for your interest in the race.

Message: Just checking on next years 2011 Race. Is there a deadline and/or cap of riders/team for the race?
I'll do it, what could be better than a nice warm race.

ReplyDeleteI have created a spreadsheet that breaks down the legs of the race for a 5 man team. Each rider would ride 6 legs, two at a time, 3 separate times. I've color coded the rider's assignment. It also has the elevation loss and gain for each riders combined legs.
